Challenge Details
Patient Safety continues to be one of the most important issues facing the NHS. Not only is it about the duty of care to patients, but in the current fiscal climate it is worth remembering that good patient safety can save money. With the level of savings that every trust is having to find, it is more important than ever to ensure patient safety remains high on your organisation’s agenda.
The Challenge is open to teams of up to six people from NHS organisations. We recommend sending a multi-disciplinary team with a mixture of seniority levels to gain maximum benefit.
Developed by HSJ and Nursing Times, it will give you and your team a unique chance to understand how to apply the principles of patient safety to real-life scenarios. The day will be fully interactive and our assessors will be monitoring your progress to provide in depth feedback. Delegates will go away not only with new skills to put in to practice in their organisations, but also with a better understanding of how patient safety issues fit into the workings of a healthcare organisation as a whole.
Issues covered by the Challenge include infection control, VTE, culture change, effective communication, team working, innovation, measurement and leadership.
Our group of expert assessors will be on hand throughout the day to provide guidance and feedback on your team’s performance.
